Jan 20, 2016... I am now 39 years old and not a lot has changed weight wise but health is worse. Stress is overwhelming. I feel like my life is fading away and so I am back AGAIN in search of a way to finally do this and get some much needed support from some of the best cheerleaders I used to know and love. I'm back... I hope...

2/1/2013.... starting over... gotta do it! Will! Must! Somehow, someway!
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!
I want to run with my kids without feeling like I am dying after 2 minutes of playing!
I want my doctor to look at me in astonishment & tell me that my sugar levels are on track & eventually my diabetes in remission!
I want to go dancing & swimming & running (yes, I said running!) & just experience the world!
I want to live for the first time in my life!
I am ready!!! I can do this! WE can do this!!! :)

My Goals:
Lower my blood pressure.
Control my blood sugar.
Lower my cholesterol.
Lose a LOT of weight.

My Program:
I am taking baby steps... baby steps are still steps in the right direction...

WALK EVERYDAY!!! Some days I walk for 20 minutes, some days I walk for 2 hours. It all depends on what I have to do that day and how I am feeling. I am discovering that when I take my camera with me I go farther and stay out longer, I may not go as fast but I'm still getting out there! That is more than I can honestly say I did before!

PORTION CONTROL!!! I have a gigantic problem with portion control! I must resist those urges for seconds and thirds...

This is where I plan on starting... GO! GO! GO!

Personal Information:
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years and we have two wonderful sons. One of which is a United States Marine. The other is a totally fabulous tween.
Seattle, Washington is where my roots are.

    Welcome, I hope that you continue with Spark as there are some marvelous people who have lost a lot of weight and are kind enough to share what has worked for them!

    You had made a posting on the 300+ team but you did not press join the team. This way you will have your postings answered and be involved with the team.

    I know it can be hard to find your way around at first, everyone will help you. If you want to join a team you do have to click that box. If when you are looking at other peoples Spark page you can see what teams they are on and you can click on that logo and enter the team to have a look around but again if you wish to join you have to click the box that say's "Join the team".

    Thanks for the add! And you have some great goals. Baby steps are definitely best, although I have to admit that I too often want immediate results. That is where I many times go off-track. I look forward to being your buddy, being there to motivate you and gain inspiration from you. And just to let you know, you CAN beat the diabetes if it's type 2. I was diabetic but after losing weight my diabetes is gone. Believe it or not I've never had problems with blood pressure or cholesterol, even at 436 pounds, but I know you can lower your's with diet and exercise. You've taken the first step already in joining this site and setting your goals. I wish you much luck! emoticon
