Hi my name is Melanie,

I never want to stop learning how to become a better me.
I need to make changes in my life, not only for health reasons, but for my Quality of life.

What I'm now learning is: It takes time and patience!

Each day brings a new beginning:
Each day a new choice to make things right :
I must Eat something at each meal with nutritional value and Exercise Is Key.

TRUE Balance-Is what I'm really searching for with my body...

I need to Stay Positive, over my weight.
The real me is hidden behind all of my weight gain.

I'm an emotional eater and I need to learn those triggers
stop going down the wrong path. Sometimes It's hard.
(learn from them)

1. Stop going with the flow of the majority in regards to eating habits.
2. Deal with my issues in a different way. (not by eating) Hard one
3.When upset. stop using food for a substitute for emotional love.
4. Stop drinking Soda.

I can except that I gained weight over a period time,(years)
So I need to learn patience with it coming off.

My weight issues,are my own! I'm in control of it., and "I" can change.

I look forward to your support. (need buddies)

I want do everything I can to make myself proud!
I have the POWER within me.

Lord God, Please help me understand Im responsible for only my life no one else, Please help me to stop blaming others for their past aggression's, Put the past in the Past, We live for another Day, Please help me control my tongue, Im trying now to live for you.

    Hi Melanie ... Sorry to hear about your setback, but you sound like you have a good plan of action. I know how unsettling moving can be. My father was in the army and we moved frequently (every 2 - 3 years) while I was growing up. I joined the air force as soon as I turned 18 and continued to move every 1 - 3 years throughout my 24 year career! Now I've been retired for 13 years and have lived in the same house since the air force sent me here 16 years ago. I also understand being separated from your children. My son has been gone all summer, working as a camp counselor at a boy scout camp one state to the east of us ... it's a seven hour drive. Spark People has really been a life saver for me these last few months. If I can "play if forward" and be of any help, please don't hesitate to contact me. I've been where you're at and can empathise with what you're going through.

    Today is July 25,

    I Gained my weight back plus 3lbs Yuck! Ive been stuck in the house for 2 months unpacking and setting the house up, missing my kids and grandsons
    feeling sorry for myself and emotional eatting myself to a slow death
    very dramatic
    But its time to stop all of that and move
    my plan:
    Walk outside for a mile, walk the three mile tape, and either tone or do another type of tape
    Get myself moving
    I'm needing some support over here

    Hi Girfriend!
    How was the move? The weather here in NY has been sooo dreamy..spring-like still! I have been lazy walking but I am buying a real pair of sneakers to get me goin' this week..otherwise, hard to lose if I don't move.

    Hello How is your Mother's Day!!!!! Glad to see you have dropped weight this week. Just think that's the closser you are to hitting your goal!!
    My weigh in and measure day is monday so I will give you an update tomorrow morning on how this past week went. I have a feeling it was good because I went shopping for a new outfit for mothers day and my pants ended up being a size 10. WooHoo!!!! I have not seen a size 10 for many years. I was so happy.
