I'd heard it all the time, 'Live in the moment.'
But if I did that, I'd weigh more than a dump truck.
Losing weight wasn't about the moment at all; it was about having faith in the future.
It was about knowing there would be another meal in a few hours.
~Stephanie Klein, Moose, 2008

The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions. ~Albert Schweitzer

Tomatoes and oregano make it Italian; wine and tarragon make it French. Sour cream makes it Russian; lemon and cinnamon make it Greek. Soy sauce makes it Chinese; garlic makes it good. ~Alice May Brock

Hi! I remember thinking the exact same thing duriing week 2. C25K does such a good job of building us up for the longer runs. I love it. Week 5 is a bit scary because it goes from alternating 5 minutes intervals on D1 to 2 8-min segments on D2. Then one 20 min seg on D3!!! I've met every goal each week, but that 20 min is just a bit intimidating. lol

Keep doing it! Don't try to rush ahead. Have fun!! Let me know how it goes for you! emoticon

Thanks for the chili idea. I'm going to try it once we get out of the 100 degree days. Good thing the sausage is frozen!

emoticon for your comment on my blog! My husband is not the romantic, mushy type, so I know what he said yesterday came from his heart. I'm just totally in awe at how much C25K has changed my life in just 8 weeks. You will love it once you start!

Thanks for visiting my SparkPage! As for audiobooks, I don't recommend one that requires utter concentration because I get distracted too easily. I love to listen to the Harry Potter series. The narrator is delightful! He's a performance in and of himself. I also listen to the J.D. Robb In Death series, or any of the P.J. Tracy novels (although the narrator is a bit annoying--he sounds like he has a sinus infection). You'll notice my tastes in reading are not...refined. Just has to be fun, so that I'll want to keep working out.

Let me know if you find a good book to work out to! emoticon
