Hello again SparkPeople! I used to be very active on this site 10 years ago! I'm back finally, with a very different life, and approach to nutrition and diet. I'm now 38 years old, and Mama to a beautiful, funny, smart little toddler named Madeleine. I'm engaged, and help co-parent his 10yr old son. I had kind of a nutso pregnancy, and ended up losing 40lb during the 38 weeks. It was partially due to hyperemesis, partly because my appetite had been naturally reducing for months. Hurray for that. In August of 2017, after over a year of watching documentaries, reading, and discussions with my fiancé, we decided to go Vegan. We're also cutting out gluten, as Steve has a moderate sensitivity to it. Not an allergy, but in the right amounts, it can make him pretty uncomfortable and sick. So, we're going to be raising a Vegan little girl (and encouraging my stepson while he's here). We'll definitely emphasize the animal cruelty and environmental impacts of our decision when she's old enough to understand. We just know that right now, for our family, and our healthy, that this is the right decision for us.

My Program:
I love to work out now!

Since I have moved, I am totally in need of finding a new workout schedule. I have a gym I can workout in at my parents' house, but need to find a Zumba class SOON!!!

I try to eat very clean during the week, and give a little wiggle room on weekend dinners. I bring lunch to work every day and pack healthy snacks.

My usual eating schedule:
B-fast is either 7:30 or 8am; Snack is an apple and low-fat cheese @ 10ish; Lunch @ 11:30 is a lean cuisine or dinner leftovers; Snack @ 2:30 is edamame or protein shake; Speckial K protein water @ 5ish; Dinner w/Martin depending on gym schedule; Snack around 8:30ish of cereal or oatmeal usually and a small piece of (70% or higher cocoa) dark chocolate

My husband and I love to cook, which can be a blessing and a curse. We can pull out some fabulously flavorful healthy meals - but we're also really good at making some stuff that will leave you wanting seconds or thirds!

We tried to start a cooking club last year - but it was a bust. Our friends really didn't understand what we wanted to accomplish with it. It turned more into a pot luck.
