Okay , so I haven't been putting very much effort into my weight loss in a very long time. I let life get in the way and take ove and haven't been focused. The last few weeks, I've started working out a few days a week , so I have a small foundation set, now it's time to build on that. I joined the SparkPeople New You Boot camp to help me further my goals, to jumpstart my weightloss. I also bought 3 new Biggest Loser dvd's this past week and will begin those this week. Boot camp, 30 day jump start, and last chance workout. Think I will start with the 30 day jump start and use that along wih this bootcamp. See where I will be in 30 days, starting today at 224.2 lbs. Also have to really work on my eating habits.

Winners Must have 2 things: Definite goals and a burning desire to achieve them.

MY BUTT is big
And round like the letter C
And ten thousand lunges
Have made it rounder
but not smaller
and that's just fine.
It's a space heater for my side of the bed
It's my ambassador
To those who walk behind me
It's a border collie
That herds skinny women
Away from the best deals
At clothing sales
And that is just fine
And those who might scorn it
Are invited to Kiss it.

Just Do It, One Day at a time, one step at a time. Didn't gain it in a day, definitely not gonna lose it in a day. But every step and minute I take towards my goal brings me closer. Fall down, get up. Never give up. For every time you fall off the wagon, use that to push yourself to get back on and try again and again and again. This is a process, a journey, a lifestyle, not a diet. This is something that can and will and should be done for the rest of your life. It's so worth it. A healthy you, a feel better about myself you, a happier you. Take time for yourself every day, One Day At A Time is the way to focus on your journey. Tomorrow is not here yet, yesterday is gone, so focus on just this one day. Then tomorrow, get up and do it again.

I've had 4 kids and losing gets tougher after every one you have. Especially this last time around. With each of my children it took me between 1 1/2 to 2 yrs to get the weight off. Well, my ''baby" is 3 now and I'm still the same weight as when I had him.
Profile update:
As every year, the new year brings on changes. Some good, some bad. All a learning experience for better or worse. Over the past month I have really worked hard on my couch 2 5K training. I'm actually able to feel the difference now. I've prgressed from week 3 to almost finishing week 6 out of the 9 week program. No, I haven't lost any extra weight this month. But, it's an accomplishment for me. I would've never thought I'd be able to run 20 minutes straight at this weight without collapsing. But I did last week. This week's last day is a 25 minute run. Can I do it?? I don't know yet. But I know that even if I can't I will continue to try until I can, then move on to week 7. I feel awesome after my 'runs' in the morning now. I'm having to learn patience, I find myself wanting to do every day in sequence, yet, it's important to have that day in between my 'runs' right now. I don't want to do too much and injure myself. Soon, I will be able to come back and update that I finished the program. Time will only tell. Update coming soon hopefully.
Wow!! I was doing really good and losing consistently for about 4-5 weeks. Then I got busy with the kids and the holidays and got behind. Well, what an excuse right?? I mean, that's life, it happens. To all of us. The point is to get back up, brush yourself off and get going again. So, here I go. It's 9:00 at night right now, and I'm sitting here thinking about the things I've accomplished this year. When I first got my treadmill back in March I barely used it. Then I only walked. Now, I can jog!!! I've gone from being able to go 30 minutes to being able to do 1 hr. sometimes and hour and a half. Sometimes it's all walking , sometimes I can jog for up to 3-5 minutes without stopping, then I walk again and then I jog in intervals till I'm done. So, maybe I haven't lost lots of weight this year, but I am definitely getting fitter. That's something I'm proud of this year. Now, I'm on to the year 2009, MY TIME TO SHINE!!!!!!!!!!
Things are changing a lot here lately. I'm working on training for a 5k. Not really to actually run one, but just to do it. Working on tracking my food. This is where I'm worst at, no wonder I don't lose. But I'm learning and I'm getting better at it. So , time will tell. In the meantime, I'm going to be taking things ONE DAY AT A TIME. This means that if I mess up I just get right back up and try again, tomorrow is a new day.
Today's date 07/23/08
I've been here a while now on spark people and not doing enough to get serious and really buckly down and get this DONE!!! So today is the day. I'm gettin up off my fat ass and losing this weight. I don't care how tired I am, I will get up and exercise. I will make better food choices.

Motivational Poem

When you have eaten to much and can't write it down
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up because you gave in
And forgot all about being healthy and thin.
So what! You went over your points a bit;
It's your next move that counts.........So don't you quit.

It's the moment of truth. It's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back into your range.
It's telling yourself that You've done great up till now;
You can take the challenge and beat it somehow;
It's part of the journey toward reaching your goal;
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.

To stumble and fall is not a disgrace
If you summon the will to get back in the race;
But, often the struggler's when losing their grip
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip
And learn to late when the damage is done
That the race wasn't over and they still could have won.

Life-style can be awkward and slow
But facing each challenge will help you to grow;
Success is failure turned inside out.
The silver tint in the cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, Just refuse to submit;
If you bite it write it down...........But don't you quit.
