    My advice would be to find a doctor (internist/endocrinologist) who really understands obesity and work with him. I found Ward Dean M.D. (he has a great video on YouTube entitled Age Management Medicine Ward Dean M.D.) and he put me on Metformin, Armour Thyroid, a weekly shot of Bydureon, blood pressure medicine, Acarbose, and Koncentrate K vitamins.

    He says blood pressure medicine saves a person's kidneys. My blood sugar was 115 so another doctor told me "Diabetes starts at 126, so you don't need Metformin." Now it is 100 and I don't eat at night like I did and I dropped 50# and I'm at 136# and I've kept it off for 2 yrs. Dr. Dean said "Read the insert." It said IF you MIGHT become a T2D you can start the medicine now. I was close enough. I feel so much better, so it is easy to exercise. Being fat makes you tired and exercise isn't fun.

    I take Acarbose with meals as it cuts down on digesting carbs. Dr. D says NO ONE has the thyroid they did at 30, so i'm on Nature thyroid. I drink 3 qts of Spring water a day and the first in the morning I take KONSIL psyllium also with the juice from half a lemon. KONSIL is sold at Walmart for $14 and it has no "taste". I add some O.J. in with it. I started small and went up to 1 tsp in a glass of o.j. water.
    Jason Fung M.D. and Richard Bernstein M.D. have good lectures on YT. Dr. Bernstein says most obese young woman have PCOS, and I know I did from age 13, but no one talked about it back then, so I stayed slim because i only ate supper each day. Now that is called "Intermittent Fasting." I got fast after my 5th child at 41 when I cleaned up the kids leftovers and started peri menopause. I took Prozac for 14 yrs after that and it just made me feel normal. I joined Sparks in '07 at 214#.
