Part 1 - My 2020 Word of the Year is NO.

My 2019 word of the year was "self-care." If I were scoring me, I'd give myself a B-. One thing that did become apparent is that I hardly ever say no to anyone or anything. It's what has me overextending, putting me at the bottom of my list, & causes anger or resentment. So this year the word is NO.

For the 2020 Fall 5% Challenge, my plan is a simple one. I need to focus on one thing because it feels like my brain has turned to mush in this pandemic. When weighing in on the first day of this challenge, I accepted that I have gained a few+ lbs. My goal is to lose what I've gained. It's about 3% increase.

Daily:
1. Quiet time daily.
2. Keep carbs at or below SP recommendation.
3. Keep fats at or below SP recommendation.
4. Track nutrition daily.
5. Plan meals for the day.

Schedule will be adjusted for each week’s LTGL.

    Hi Mauri, I can't believe it is Friday already. Where did the week go. WooHoo I made it to the gym this morning. Worked out for one hour, and plan to go back Monday morning. I felt so good when I left, I might just go everyday. Thursday I had all the carpets in the house clean, so I decide by the time I moved furniture, and put everything back together for the day that counted for my strength training lol. Hopefully I will lose a pound or two this next week that is my goal. Keep exercising and drinking that water. Kym

    Hi Mauri, Well Monday has come and gone. I will be glad when the weekend is over, maybe my life can get back to normal *every one goes back to work and school). I got a short walk in this afternoon. Also weeded my roses and tomatoes. been cooking with a lot of fresh tomatoes and zucchinis this past week. Now my yellow squash are almost ready to harvest. I was never in to gardening until a couple of years ago. The produce from the garden just taste so much better. This morning I picked a basket of apples. This I will make apple crisp tomorrow. Guess I will get to Curves Wednesday, my folks came in town and was tough to get away, but they are leaving tomorrow. Sound like your walk was a great way to keep up your cardio for the day.     Good morning Mauriza, Hope you are having a great Saturday for this Labor Day weekend. I got my walk in yesterday morning. Took the dog and I think he enjoyed as much as I did. Then after working in the garden, I mopped the floors. Cleaned the house etc. I always find that tiring, so I just do a little at a time.Today we have some yard work to catch up on and clean the decks for a family get together tomorrow. My husband is going to catch up on some painting. Keep it up going to the gym. I am going to Curves to check it out today and join. So I think it will work for me. Time to work on my other goals and finish my strength exercises. Chat Later.

    Hi Sorry I didn't check in earlier. I did walk this morning, but it was at Albertsons! Had to get groceries and I know I walked up and down the isle pushing a cart for more than an hour lol. But I also decided to join CURVES to start working out. I have a tradmill at home but I think if I am paying to exercise and I know that I will motivate myself more. Hey I am so glad we will be partners thru this, Kym
