May 17, 2021. Tomorrow we will be married 19 years, and I've been a member of Spark People since January, 2011.

Interesting how both marriages and weight loss programmes have their ups and downs, but with both I'm still here.

June 12 - interesting that I would write that just before Spark People posted their notice that the programme as we know it is shutting down... and that it is only for people in the U.S. from now on.

Not happy! but have joined a new programme,, and am looking forward to continuing my weight loss journey there. Hope to see you there.

I already started using the fatsecret food tracker a few days ago, but I hadn't really investigated what kind of communication with each other they offer. I'll get on there and check it out.

The closest Catholic High School is about 40 miles from their house. With both of them working, it would be a major feat to get Elizabeth to school every day and extra-curricular activities and sports would really be a challenge. So...............they will go with the local public High School.

It's just shameful that they can't be bothered to give us a way to back up or download the entire blog. But I guess they're too busy figuring out how to make more money.

    Hi Gail..............

Yes, Elizabeth will be going to the Portage High School. It will be quite a change from the very insulated life she has had at St. Mary's. She met with the Guidance Counselor and has a very full schedule. She will have Marching Band and Swim Team in the Fall along with College Prep classes. I advised her that it was fine to try this and if she enjoys it to continue on, BUT, if there is too much stress and it affects her health and time to be a young girl who should also enjoy High School, then she needs to re-evaluate. I was my own worst enemy when it came to doing a perfect job at everything I did whether it be classes or sports (we only had Volleyball at that time) and I ended up stressed out and tired all of the time. I hope that she knows how to balance her life.
