May 31 2019 = Weighed in at 264. Pleased with my progress

April 30 2019 = Weighed in at 267.4 = April 1 was at 271.0 so that gives me a loss of 3.6 for the month. Am 1.4 pounds away from the goal of 266 for today so am pleased that I got that close. Onward and upward looking to having a great June

March 31 2019 = Weighed in at 270.1 = mid month was way up so am glad got it down to this - looking forward to April being a good month in all areas of my life.

February 28 2019 = Weight 268.9 = going the wrong way need to get back on track and make March a great month - in many areas

January 31 2019 = Weight 267.7 = loss of 6 pounds for the month.

January 19 2019 = our beloved dog Benji, age 14 passed away due to an enlarged heart. He was the best therapy dog ever and is missed by all that new him

Am starting over with regards to my weight loss journey - therefore a new start here with a new Sparkpage.

Am married, have 4 beautiful adult children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

I live in Canada - on the West Coast

Am a senior with a birthday coming up in February.

I have many health issues one being diabetic. But won't dwell on them as am working on changing the weight to improve the health.

Am a Christian and both husban and myself are very involved with the Church.

Psalms 94:17-18 says
If the Lord had not been my help, my soul would soon have lived in the land of silance. When I thought, 'My foot slips,' your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.

Numbers 6:24-26 says
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

My Goals:
Goals:
1) 5 pounds a month is the goal
2) Daily Reading of the Bible
3) Working at incorporating walking on the treadmill daily


My Program:
My program is '2B Mindset'. Great program written by a nutritionist. With it I have a Coach and there are
30 of us doing the program together. 1st month (Dec 14 2018 to January 11 2018 and I lost 5.2 pounds)

    There probably is an Elk River Valley in BC, Canada somewhere, but this particular Elk River Valley is in northwest Colorado. I live in Steamboat Springs, a small mountain town and destination ski resort about 90 minutes away from Vail. We're surrounded by wilderness areas, forest service lands, state parks, etc., so I try to be mindful of the beauty that surrounds me every day!

    Your own cookbook - sounds like a fun idea. I have a recipe box i add our favorite recipes to.

    I really do not enjoy cooking, but my son, Geoff, who lives with me, watches cooking show lots - and sometimes I try new recipes. Recently found a recipe for Szechwan Beef that we really like - now Geoff wants it at least once a week.

    I ordered that Julia Child book today - have it checked out from the library and am sure it will inspire me more - at least i hope it will!!
