Introduction Text I'm 57 now and have decided I needed to start Concentrating on me. All my life I have been putting others before myself. Trying to be sure that everyone is happy. Always helping others even if it was not making me unhappy. I think I was a born caregiver, always taking care of everyone else. My Children, my handicapped mom for 15 years, my siblings when they needed me and now my handicapped Friend and a Son with emotional problems. My boys who just turned 11 and 7, who I have lived with me from birth, recently moved in with their mom. It was really hard for me. I know they are my grandchildren, but I feel like I had my boys taken away from me. I'm adjusting to being a mammy instead of mommy now and sometimes it really gets me down. Now I need to TAKE CARE OF ME. I only have about 10 years before I retire and I want to be healthy. I have not been happy with my weight most of my life and it's time to do something about it. About 10 years ago I lost 60 pounds and felt really good about myself, Then I lost my mom and my Friend became handicapped and I just stopped caring about me and did what I do best, take care of him and my boys. I finally figured out that no-one is going to take care of me, so it's up to me to do what I do best for myself. I am going to take care of me.
