Personal Information:
I am 62, married 39 years, no children. I live in Central Scotland in a small village about 25 miles from Glasgow. I took early retirement from my job in Local Government a few years ago and my fitness has plummeted since. So I need to address this NOW.

Other Information:
 My favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. My favourite film is Funny Bones with Jerry Lewis and Lee Evans, now there is a man with funny bones. I enjoy listening to Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, The Proclaimers and many more. I love to cycle, though do not do it nearly enough. I love my hubby and my dog and I also like to keep tropical fish.

    Thank you for the Spark goodie! I am with the kids as Sam was getting behind in her studies due to some medical issues with John Jr. I am exhausted. John Jr. goes to bed late (after midnight) and the cats wake me at 5 am! I am sleeping on the fold out couch in their living room with three active cats. I will NEVER turn into an old cat lady, although I love my one kitty. lol

    John Jr. has an assignment and a quizz tomorrow as he is taking 2 classes this semester, so I need to focus on helping him get them done. Yesterday I sat in on 2 university neuroscience classes. I'm not going to be a brain surgeon anytime soon either. lol

    I was looking through my old comments and realized that you added me as a friend March 6, 2008. There have been some tough years, but I have not and never will give up. I love that you are still here too.

    I saw the dietician yesterday and she was so encouraging. Basically my diet is good so we just need to tweak it for optimum weight loss. She is thinking more fruit, veg, and dairy. The dairy really surprised me, but no point taking up her time and not giving it a go!

    I saw you were either vegan or vegitarian. How are you finding that? I love Rose Elliott's family cookbooks. Don't use them much, but I love them. lol

    Hello my friend. How are you doing? Venezuela didn't work out, so now my daughter and I are going to Mexico. We got a pkg deal that looks very good. So I'm trying desperately to get in shape for that. I have a doctor appointment for the first time in over 2 years when I had the inconclusive biopsy done on my thyroid cysts. Hopefully, we can start to deal with the thyroid now.
