I keep a journal and track mine every day. As long as I'm honest about what goes in my mouth, my numbers show me exactly where I went off track and what I need to do to fix it.

With the deficit, just don't get frustrated when it shows that you should be losing, but you end up with a gain or stay flat. The joys of the female body, even with calculations we can't predict what will happen when we bloat or sleep horribly because of night sweats, etc. Oh goodie! Just when we think we have it figured out! lol

The first time around, I did really well! I went from 312 to 213, then hit the wall and just couldn't get past that stupid hundred pound mark! When in reality, I'd started doing Leslie Sansone videos again and was eating much healthier for at least 3 wks before I got on that scale and saw 312, so we both know that means I'd already lost the water weight, as well as some actual weight too. So I was already PAST the 100 lb mark, I just didn't have the numbers to prove it! So after that, it was a constant struggle to try and stay motivated and numerous times of stopping and starting.
Coming back in November, I was just a couple ounces under 275, and so far, other than TOM fluctuations, and a few days of "I want to eat anything and everything in sight", I've done pretty good at staying focused and pushing through. Now when I have a fast food binge, or a killer doughnut craving, I have it, log it and keep going! Yes, the scale may go up. Yes, there have been some serious boating spells, but I just keep going! I've been big all my life. I can't expect to put a final date on those changes. If it takes me a year, WOOHOO me!!! If it takes 5 years, I'm ok with that! If it takes 10...well yeah, THEN I might begin to worry. lol But it's not like I have anything better to do! I may as well improve my health, right? And if the numbers go down at the same time, total bonus!

I totally understand! The ups and downs drive me nuts sometimes. I'll be totally in control and pumped one day, and the next day...nothing, not even a HINT of a spark!
Just keep pushing through, it'll all pay off in the long run! If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to ask!
