    Hi! Welcome to sparkpeople!!! I hope you find some good buddies here and get some of your goals accomplished each day! I have noticed that everything goes in cycles. Sometimes I am really great at losing pounds and sometimes I am not. Sometimes I accomplish wonderful things in my personal life while my weight goals suffer, but at the end of the year I can see that I am in a better place than I was. I love being able to look back over each year and see what I have accomplished with the trackers here on sparkpeople. I hope you will log your weight and measurements, food & exercise for sure. Those help me realize how far I have come.
    Also, joining a fitness goal related team can really help too. I found a "couch to 5k" team and it has instructions in the team pages on how to accomplish a 5k if you've never done one. I am not doing the running until I am lighter so I don't wreck my body, but I am going to enter at least 2 this year and am doing a virtual race in April. So, that is something I never really thought I would actually do. But now I am. I am in the middle of losing the 15 pounds that I gained back last year. But I had lost 25, so that is better than the year before when I had gained above where I had started.
