I am a first and foremost a follower of Jesus. He came to earth to make a way for men to become right with God. Through his death, our sins were paid for, and God offers eternal life to all who place their trust in what Jesus has done. That's the message of John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In late 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Life as you know it stops dead in that moment. There is a faith decision to be made for a Christ follower. Do I really trust God, even if he allows something like cancer? During the last two years, over and over and over, I've seen His hand in my life. I've found that when you choose to trust God, He gives peace and joy.

Jill Briscoe says that peace is faith resting and joy is faith dancing. It's possible to dance your way through cancer treatment, to rest in Him in perfect peace.

I am a pastor's wife from Nebraska and mother to 5 girls and 1 boy, ages 17-30. I just became a grandmother in February.
