Life is one of the greatest adventures given to each one of us ... enjoy every day as much as you can ... learn to choose the things that will make you the best you can be.

My first year with SparkPeople (2008) was a success! I did manage to lose 35 pounds, Now it is 5 years later I've retired, and have decided to restart the program. I'm hoping the extra time on my hands will help me to visit daily, and the support will from teammates will help keep me on track.

It appears I wasn't back for very long ... life just got in the way ...

My Goals:
1. Eat healthier
2. Exercise more
3. Worry less
4. Have fun

My Program:
1. I keep my calories between 1600 and 1800 each day ... eating balanced meals and snacks every 4-5 hours.
2. Track my meals so I become accountable for what I eat and know where I stand throughout the day.
3. Drink my 8 glasses of water daily.
4. Stretching and moderate exercising daily...
5. Learn what foods I can eat and what I have to avoid for health issues.

Personal Information:
I've lived in Erie all my life ... what a great place to raise a family. We have 3 grown children. My oldest is now 50 and my youngest will be turning 32 in a couple weeks. There is so much to do here ... Presque Isle State Park, Museums, Theater, Philharmonic, Education (we have 4 Universities). The seasons are phenomenal ... each one is special ... It's winter in Erie ... and so far we are well below our average snowfall for the season. We haven't had our usual cold snap yet ... I expect we will get a mini one in the next few weeks.

Other Information:
Hobbies include gardening, singing, scrapbooking, and the computer.

I am a garden club member and Flower Show Judge ... I love going to shows to see the beautiful designs people create.

Totally enjoying retirement ... however the Pandemic I can do without!

    Thanks so much on your veg tips. How do you make your WW veggie pizza? That sounds great! I think I am going to keep some seafood and dairy in my diet, but cut out pork, beef, chicken and so on. It's been five days now and I feel really great. Thank again for the kind words and tips! I need all the help I can get.

    Thanks, once again, for the comment on my blog entry! I am very grateful that I've never had mono....let alone had to deal with Preschoolers on top of it! emoticon I know that Mono really takes a toll on one's body....have known people who have contracted it!

    I am down another 1.2 pounds this morning....think it's because it's that TOTM. UGH! emoticon Probably why I've only lost little bits the last 2 weeks, too! Oh, well! Been sticking to my plan and it'll get there when it's time, I guess! Hope you're doing well! Keep on trying! We can do it! I know we can! emoticon

    I go to Edinboro...and yes two more weeks to go! It's exciting Im up or shall I say down 16lbs now!!! Im very excited to be off school and be able to put more time and effort into losing my weight and doing more with my munchkins! I see your progressing as well keep up the hard work!
