Fit in 2009!
Staying Thin in 2010!

I started my healthy lifestyle March 13,2008 when I could no longer fit in any of my 3 x clothes with a weight of 260 pounds.

I reached my first goal of 225 in May (a 35 pound weight loss) on to 200 pounds goal number 2. I am thankful each day for family, friends, co-workers and the daily plate for being a source of encouragement. Around weight 225 is when people started to ask "are you losing weight".

I reached my second goal of 200 pounds well ahead of schedule. This represents a 60 pound weight loss. Now everyone is asking what are you doing? Well, simple "Eat Smart and Walk Strong". I make healthy choices when I eat and try to maintain an active exercise routine. On now to goal number 3--175 pounds by Oct. 31st.

I reached 175 by October 15,2008 goal number 3. This is a 85 pound weight loss. Wow! Now for 159 (normal BMI weight) will try for Dec. 31,2008 for goal number 4 (101 pound weight loss). I reached 101 pound loss and weight of 159 on 01-07-2009
Christmas Challenge goal was to reach 100 pound weight loss with a weight of 160 pounds by 12-25-2008. (I made the 100 pound weight loss on 12-24-2008 a day ahead of schedule.)
I would like to reach a weight of 140 by August 31, 2009 which will be my birthday present of 120 pound weight loss.
We will see. It is nice to be in a medium size clothes again. Wow to not have to shop in the plus section now. It is not just about the size. I feel so much better. My life is more enjoyable. And most important I am setting the correct example for my child.

Measurements 2-1-2009
Waist: 27.5 inches (40 inches at first measurement)
Hips - 38.5 inches (55 inches at first measurement)
Chest- 29.5 inches (46 inches at first measurement)

My Program:
Controlling weight is about balancing energy. If calories in and calories out are in balance, you will maintain your weight.
If you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose weight. Eat too much and move too little, and you will gain.
Physical activity fires up your metabolism so you automatically burn calories even while sitting at your desk, watching TV, or sleeping ? not a bad deal, right?
Weight management through energy balance may also lower blood pressure and cholesterol, help control blood sugar, and increase energy levels.

Avoid hunger by eating regularly and recognize the difference between lack of sleep ?energy? and lack of food ?energy?. Emotions such as anger and loneliness will challenge your abilities to make healthy choices, but they don?t change your abilities.
