    Hi Erin,

    Congrats on your loss! That's great! To answer your question, I have done pilates, basically as a stretching exercise when my back was really bad. It really helped loosen everything up and gave me more mobility. You would definitely strengthen your core doing them. Do you have any free weights or exercise bands you can use for strength? I love lifting free weights and there are so many different programs (dvds) out there to use as guides. I guess that if you're looking for "strength training" - and that's what you were asking about - that's the way I'd go and use the pilates to increase mobility. But that's what I used them for.

    Thanks for reading my blog! It is really nice to know that other people have the same struggles I have. This time I am really trying to not repeat the mistakes I have made sooooo many times in the past. This is probably one of the mistakes I have made many times!

    This morning it was like a light bulb went off in my head... saying "What are you doing?" So I drove right by!!! (I might not have as much will-power next time.) We are just taking one step at a time to work toward our goal. Thanks so much for the encouragement!!
