    Linda - I have a couple of thoughts to share with you - hope you don't mind? Have you looked into the Spark Teams that advocate low-carb and healthy fats? For example, the "Flat Belly Diet" is one that I follow fairly closely, and there is another team called "Eat Fat to Lose Fat" - oh, gosh - I hope I'm remembering the team names correctly. Anyway, usually when I plan to eat regularly - meaning that there is always a morning snack and an afternoon snack, it helps take care of the "hunger-monster" showing up at odd times during the day.

    Keep at it, girl - you'll find what works best for you!

    Linda - I feel your pain about the lunch salad not quite pulling its own "weight" - perhaps you need to add some protein. What I try to do when I know I'm going to be stuck at McDonald's with the grandkids for lunch, is put a baggie in my purse with "extras" for the side salad - like chopped/slivered almonds, sunflower/pumpkin seeds, unsweetened coconut, flax seeds, maybe some avocado slices. By the time I get through "dressing up" my side salad, the two little ones are off playing and I can enjoy my salad with all the trimmings. I do think it is important to add some protein to each meal - but am not sure it is a good idea to stuff one's purse with cooked chicken????

    My best advice is for all of us is to keep searching for what works for us, individually - asking questions - and staying focused.
