8/4 - I am now almost 9 weeks pregnant. My running has been cut down a lot just because of how tired I have been. I have still been running, just not as much. I'm sure that will continue as I get larger and larger. DH and I are so excited to welcome a new member to our family!

6/13 - It has been a goal for some time to run a 5k under 30 minutes. Now I have finally done it. I actually bested my last 5k time by almost 5 whole minutes.

5/26 - I ran my first ever 5 mile race yesterday and it was a lot of fun. Pretty hot but still a good time.

5/4 - Yesterday I ran my 2nd 1/2 Marathon and I beat my previous time by 17 minutes. So excited!

2/1 - I am now training and registered for my next 1/2. I am going to run the Lincoln 1/2 on May 3rd. I am pretty excited and I've been working on getting a friend to run with me.

11/20 update - I think that I am now officially a runner. I have completed my first (hopefully of many) and I didn't walk a step of the way. I had a blast and I can't wait until I can do another.

My name is Lisa and I live in Omaha with my husband and our 2 puppies, Belle and Buttercup. We moved here from San Antonio last March and we really like being closer to our families, but I miss San Antonio terribly bad.

Right now I am running 3 times per week. I am going to Pilates on Tuesday and Thursday, and Pump and Cut on Wednesday and Friday. I have also started spinning which is great cardio and I do that about 3 times a week.

My Goals:
I would like to get down to a healthy BMI. That would put me right around 130. I have been thinking and considering some of my other goals, getting down to 130 is not high on my list of priorities. I just want to be happy and healthy.


My Program:
Cardio - I run 4 to 5 times a week. I also try to get a spinning class or 2 and some time on the elliptical machine.

Strength - I have a hard time getting motivated to do strength training. I try to do 2 classes per week that focus on strength training.



Personal Information:
I live in Omaha with my DH and our 2 puppies.


Other Information:
I am very excited that they new seasons are starting. I really love Gray’s Anatomy, CSI, and The Biggest Loser. I really like to watch movies and I love to read. I will read most any book at least once.

    Thanks a bunch for the comment about where to put my goals. If I would have searched a little more I guess I could have figured it out! :) you seem to be doing great on your weight loss.....I can't quite say the same for myself...I'm lacking motivation something serious. If you have any tips I'd love to hear them!!

    Good morning! I hope your day improved yesterday - I had a message all typed out and then apparently it didn't go through!

    Anyway, I was glad to find someone else who likes rhubarb pie - I don't hear much about rhubarb, so I wasn't sure what the general concensus was. After all, it looks like red celery (and how could that be any good?!). My only experience has been this pie, so I have no idea how else to eat it!

    Stick with the hard work outs - they'll make you stronger!!

    Thanks for the words of concern on my spark page - I appreciate you checking up on me!

    Memorial Day weekend went off without a hitch. At my mini-vacation on the coast, I was moderate in my habits - I drank a little bit (just a couple of margaritas) ate reasonable portions and got a lot of “playing” exercise (spending hours jumping in the waves is a great workout!) It was nice to come back with out regrets.
