8/4 - I am now almost 9 weeks pregnant. My running has been cut down a lot just because of how tired I have been. I have still been running, just not as much. I'm sure that will continue as I get larger and larger. DH and I are so excited to welcome a new member to our family!

6/13 - It has been a goal for some time to run a 5k under 30 minutes. Now I have finally done it. I actually bested my last 5k time by almost 5 whole minutes.

5/26 - I ran my first ever 5 mile race yesterday and it was a lot of fun. Pretty hot but still a good time.

5/4 - Yesterday I ran my 2nd 1/2 Marathon and I beat my previous time by 17 minutes. So excited!

2/1 - I am now training and registered for my next 1/2. I am going to run the Lincoln 1/2 on May 3rd. I am pretty excited and I've been working on getting a friend to run with me.

11/20 update - I think that I am now officially a runner. I have completed my first (hopefully of many) and I didn't walk a step of the way. I had a blast and I can't wait until I can do another.

My name is Lisa and I live in Omaha with my husband and our 2 puppies, Belle and Buttercup. We moved here from San Antonio last March and we really like being closer to our families, but I miss San Antonio terribly bad.

Right now I am running 3 times per week. I am going to Pilates on Tuesday and Thursday, and Pump and Cut on Wednesday and Friday. I have also started spinning which is great cardio and I do that about 3 times a week.

My Goals:
I would like to get down to a healthy BMI. That would put me right around 130. I have been thinking and considering some of my other goals, getting down to 130 is not high on my list of priorities. I just want to be happy and healthy.

My Program:
Cardio - I run 4 to 5 times a week. I also try to get a spinning class or 2 and some time on the elliptical machine.

Strength - I have a hard time getting motivated to do strength training. I try to do 2 classes per week that focus on strength training.

Personal Information:
I live in Omaha with my DH and our 2 puppies.

Other Information:
I am very excited that they new seasons are starting. I really love Gray’s Anatomy, CSI, and The Biggest Loser. I really like to watch movies and I love to read. I will read most any book at least once.

    yea, i hear ya! i've been workin hard, and jumping on the scale, and umm...it's not really moving. i'm trying not to let that get to me, but it's my TOM, which usually means the scale just stays the same, but i'm still workin hard... so hopefullyyyy next friday(!!!) our goals will be met!

    I have a Garmin 305 and I like using the motionbased.com website. I think it is better than the training center. It is web-based so you can access your runs from work or home, and share them with friends. It also allows you to view your runs on satellite maps. I just use the free subscription; with a paid subscription you will have access to further analysis tools. Check out demo at: http://www.motionbased.com/.

    Hi again Lisa!

    After thinking about yesterday's "jog" some more, I decided that I want to officially get back into running, and I remembered that you signed up for a race (in July?). I will just say I'm jogging for now - nothing speedy, but I'd like to be able to jog 5K without stopping. Did you follow a training plan when you started (like the Couch to 5K one)?

    I thought I had decent shoes, but I've got blisters on the tips of 2 toes just from walking on the treadmill for the last 5 months, so I may try to find a special running shoe store that will fit me or something.

    How come you don't have your exercise log for public viewing??! :)

    I'd never be able to find one, but if you can make a dessert that you personally don't like... THAT would be the one to take!! :) It sounds like a fun weekend ~ and if you can still get your exercise in the a.m., you can feel great about that and enjoy the beer & food!

    Maybe somehow (tell me how!), you can look ahead and plan what you're going to eat for each weekend day - like at least eat a healthy breakfast and maybe lunch, and burn off some serious calories with the a.m. exercise, and then you can do what you want in the evening. It's possible of course (to lose 3 lbs in a week), but you may get crabby or irritable if you eat at the low end of your range every day until then! And nobody wants that!!

    Do you like light beer?!

    I'm still searching for that group...
