keeping positive through positive motions...
Hi every one.. like many here I have tried many, many times to lose the weight and become healthier... At 49... soon to be 50 I feel that need intensely... I don't feel mentally fifty... but...lol... physically I feel closer to 80... I am hoping that by becoming active, losing weight and focusing on my health I can equal the difference out...

My Goals:
become stronger & more flexible...
maintain a healthy eating style....
find support to maintain my choices....
My Program:
I try to stay with complex carbs.... legumes, brown rice, green, leafy vegetables... basically any and all veggies... and low glycemic fruits... however I do like bananas & peanut butter!

I have been very inactive physically in the last year so I want to start with yoga as I feel this will encourage flexibility & strengthen my core.... then I hope to add in strength training with weights... as well as get back into hiking and maybe even volleyball

I live in West Winfield, Ny... it is near Utica & Herkimer by about 20 minutes... so please say hello if in the area... would love to build a support network locally...
Other Information:
I'm a huge Stephen King fan... Robert Jordan as well.... into gardening, outdoor activities including fishing, swimming, hiking, & enjoy volleyball... love visiting new places & window shopping in the quaint little villages in area
