I've struggled with my weight all of my life. I managed to lose 90 lbs in high school, but gained it all back several years later after graduating. I am now at the heaviest I've ever been, and it has taken a huge physical and mental toll on me. I suffer from many physical ailments, all due to my weight. I just want to be healthy and energetic and stop suffering from the pain my body endures every day.

I started on SparkPeople January 2008. I lost 20 lbs the couple months that I was on here, just following the nutrition guidelines, but fitness was a huge obstacle for me because of my back problems. I basically "fell off the wagon" but here I am again, more determined than ever to get healthy once and for all!

So what's different this time? My biggest motivator is the ability to have children. I've always wanted kids and my husband also wants children. However, I know that number 1 I am having a hard time with my fertility because of my weight and number 2 I want to be healthy before I get pregnant for the sake of my future children. I am determined to make positive changes in my life and lifestyle. I've also started seeing a personal trainer to help me with my nutrition and fitness goals. I now have a semi-recumbent bike to do Cardio at home, and a gym membership to see my personal trainer for strength and core exercises. He's a wonderful guy and is tailoring a program just for me and my back issues.

My biggest excuse has always been...I'll start tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow. Well tomorrow always comes and I never start. So my mantra is going to be: TOMORROW IS TODAY! Every time I doubt myself, every time I want to take a break, every time I feel completely unmotivated, I will repeat to myself: TOMORROW IS TODAY!!!
