    Start slowly with the running (depending on what kind of shape you're in). When I started running a few years ago I did the couch to 5k program. Once you accomplish a 5k, other goals seem that much easier! I go back & forth- getting in shape (mostly for races) and then going on an exercise hiatus & gaining weight. RIght now I'm starting to get back in the swing of it (again) for a race in Feb. Let me know if you want a buddy!
