I am an almost 28 year old stay at home mother of one little girl. My husband used to be in the military and we moved around A LOT - my 3 year old has already moved 7 times!!! All that moving with a baby meant that I was under TONS of stress and, you guessed it, ate ALL THE TIME!!! I now weigh more than I did while I was pregnant! With the thought of having another baby on the horizon, owning our first home and the prospect of "normal life" setting in, I'm finally out of excuses and ready to lose the weight! I'm tired of being the fat one - I don't want to be embarrassed by my weight anymore. One of my family's favorite activities is going to the beach and I'm always fully clothed. I can't wait until I feel comfortable chasing my daughter through the surf in a swimsuit!

My Program:
I am following Weight Watchers and have set a goal of 8 daily activity points (that's about the equivalent of 60 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of strength) a day.



Personal Information:
My husband and I met in high school in Monterey, California and have since moved all over with the Military. He finally got out and now, with a steady job, we were able to buy our first house. All these new beginnings, it's about time I had one too.


Other Information:
I love to read anything and everything...I have a blog (www.themadreader.com) that I just started, journaling about the books I'm reading. I also used to love to kayak, but we live pretty far away from the water now so the kayak is just hanging in the garage. :-(

    It sounds like your life has settled down and now you can start taking care of yourself also. I always find that I put everyone first and then I don't focus on my needs . I'm new to this site .     Thanks for your encouraging comment. Actually, I am about half way to my first "minnie goal". I have a total of 60 pounds to loose. So still a long way to go. But "minnie goals" help keep me motivated. Have a good holiday weekend!
