January 2020 update:
I've been stumbling all over the place.
Looking at my 2019 goal - it was not met. I'm carrying it over to 2020: Build more activity into every day.

January 2019 update:
Still working on those last 10 lbs...
2018 was a lazy year, as far as physical activity goes.
I'm lucky I was able to maintain.
I'll be building more activity into my days in 2019.
Strategy is to plan it, schedule it, do it!

January 2018 update:
10 unwanted pounds have found their way back onto my hips and thighs... Goal is to lose those again.
It's slow going.

Thanks SparkPeople for getting me off the endless yo-yo rollercoaster. 10+ years and counting.

I started my SparkJourney in March 2007 when I was 10 lbs away from my goal weight.

Prior to finding SP I had lost 30 lbs doing WW online but was unable to lose the last 10.

After 6 years of fine-tuning, trial and error, I finally reached my ultimate weight goal in early 2013, and am now maintaining within a +/- 3% radius.

I'm hanging out and hanging in, still fine-tuning as I go. Maintenance does not mean you have it all figured out...

1. Eat mostly clean and unprocessed
I believe there are no "forbidden foods". Instead I am focusing on the quality of what I eat.
2. Drink plenty of water
This has been a challenge - always.
3. Be active
Zumba, yoga, and hiking are my favorite pastimes.
4. Get enough sleep
Goal is 8 hours.
5. Manage stress
My stress managing methods are exercise, music, and meditation/yoga.
6. Positive attitude
Turn can't into can, and don't into do.
7. Gratitude
Appreciate who I am, where I am, and what I can do.

    Welcome to the Calorie Cycling team!

    The best place to start, in learning more about calorie cycling, is by reading through the GREAT Tips, Links & Info thread on the sparkteam page. You can also visit the freedieting website that has a calorie calculator, to help calculate your 7-day calorie cycling numbers, make sure to read through the entire page since there's a lot of great information,

    Just don't forget to coincide your higher intensity workouts with your high calorie days, the lowest calorie day is usually your rest days, everything else is normal cardio.

    There is also a post that shows how you can use your sparks calorie range if you don't feel comfortable with the high numbers from the freedieting website.

    I highly recommend reading the article "The ZigZag Diet" by Dr. Squat,

    and the article "IDEAL WEIGHT: IS THERE SUCH THING?" by Thomas Tadlock,

    If you still have questions after reading through the threads please don't hesitate to ask in the "I NEED HELP" thread. General chit chat is usually in the "By the Campfire" thread OR you could always sparkmail me!

    Good to have you with us here at 1 Day Challenge and I'll help you through your journey if you need it. I'm here to support and encourage you forward. If you fall back, I'm here to catch you and show you the right direction if need be.

    I'll try to be supportive to you and to encourage you on the journey you are taking. I'll be along side you to your goal(s) and all the way. And to you good luck and to take 1 day at a time. Take advantage of what Spark has to offer. I would like to see you accomplish the goal(s) you have and I'm there for you too.
    Stay focused and have a positive attitude, b/c those will help you in the long way............... It's good to meet and have you with us.

    5) most of all :: have fun and enjoy yourself
    You are doing great, making progress every time you come in.

    Don't give into your temptations. They are bad and will set you back. You want to move forward, have good habits ( like eating your veggies, fruits) and come in here. We all are here for you and other members too.
