Katreniah Living Healthily and Happily


After a little less than a year, with the help of my Spark friends and Jenny Craig, I lost the 52 pounds I'd wanted gone baby gone! Now I have the challenge of maintaining, of making healthy habits a lifestyle change instead of just a fad diet. It's a challenge, but I'm working on it, and one thing I've learned is that I can do it if I put my mind to it!

My Goals:
I need to make exercise a dail requirement in my life - it's all too easy to use excuses and to push it down on my to do list. That's going to be my focus: at least 10 minutes a day, every day.

Personal Information:
My name's Katreniah (big surprise - I love my name, so I'm also using it as my handle). I love reading and television, and I'm a huge fan of multitasking. For example, I love hula hooping while I watch some of my programs. I highly recommend the exercise. I currently live in Maryland but was born in Virginia. I've also lived in Ohio (for about 2 years of college), New York City, and Anchorage, AK. I love to travel and do it as much as I can.

Other Information:
 I currently live with my sister and help her and my brother-in-law with the kids. It's been a win-win situation all 'round.

    My husband was a customer and later he spent so much time there, he ended up working for the store!! He quit when he opened up a gift shop in the next town over. So he was there like 8 years..

    Hey there! :)

    It's actually CRAZY how long my friends and I have been together. We all met through our karate school and then just started hanging out. The funny thing is that I met their dad first because I was set up to spar with him and he caught me in the chest with a side kick that knocked the wind out of me. I was down for like three minutes just trying to regain my breath and after that we were suddenly friends and since then he's held the seder evere year and I've watched his sons and all our other friends grow up. My brother and I were always the older ones in the group but to stay friends with these people, I feel like I really am blessed and it's one of the best feelings in the world. :)

    Thanks for your comment on my blog :) I do need to come up with a plan of action. I think I'll never forget the feeling of watching his eyes fall when I was yelling at him and this feeling of disappointment after the smoke cleared and I realized I had hurt him really badly. I just have to be conscious of that the next time he does something I wish he wouldn't. Ugh. :(
