3 Pounds lost since February...

1. Jog at least 3 days a week

3. Sign up for at least 1 race
4. Lose at least 2 pounds


01-10-2009 - 1 Year Anniversary
I can't believe I have been on SP for 1 whole year. And what a great year it has been. I'm exercising at home. I'm exercising at work. I've even competed in some SP challenges. I'm logging my food and my exercise pretty consistently. I've lost 48 pounds, almost halfway to my goal of 100. And I would not have been able to do it without SP and my SP friends and teams. Thanks SP, for a wonderful website!!!

I am a 47 year old computer analyst who sits at a computer 8+ hours a day and performs no physical activity. Comes home after work and sits on the couch for 2 to 3 hours a day watching TV, performing no physical activity. I am stressed, irritable and depressed and I need to make a change in my life. I hope Spark People can help me this time...

3. Consistently drink 8+ glasses of H2O a day
4. Increase cardio
5. To eat 60 grams of Protein daily
6. Lose 10% of body weight at a time

My Program:
1. Exercise w\weights 6X a week.

2. Cardio 4 times a week.

2. Logging my meals and exercise into Spark People.

3. Get proper amount of rest.

    Welcome to SparkPeople and to Cholesterol Support. I found that if I made physical activity fun I could incorporate it into my life (I used to have a Masters Degree in Couch Potato). I bought some dumbbells, some exercise bands and a stability ball (didn't want to exercise in public with my fat hanging all out) and challenged myself to do more each week. I was having fun and I kept at it, and I am now doing so many more things that I once thought were impossible but I'm having so much fun - and exercise is a great thing to ease depression!!!
