Just checking in. How are things going? I have hit a wall. For the last three weeks I have neither lost nor gained any weight but I am not giving up. I am going to rejoice that I have not gained, because that is worth something. I am going to work that much harder to lose more. Have a really Awesome day! I hope you are doing well and on track. You can do this!

That is the range that I am in 1200 to 1500 calories a day. Do you use the Nurtition Tracker? That is my favorite part of this site. I use it everyday and you don't have to follow the diet & meal provided (they are great; I used to use them but with the lack of money in the house I can't afford to buy specific groceries I have to buy what is on sale that we can afford) so whether you eat at home or out and about you can enter each food item into the tracker individually. This works great for me because it keeps in front of my mind what I have eaten and how much and how well my choices are and how well I am doing staying within my 1200 - 1500 calories a day. The charts are great too because after a week or a month you can take one glance and see when and where you go outside your goal ranges and see patterns form. The fitness track is good too because they have lists to help you see how active you are in a day.

I have 5 kids that were all close together 3, 3, 2, and 10 months old when my husband and I got married and then we had our youngest April a year later. They are all grown now. They are 24, 23, 22, 21, & 19 Michael July 7, 1986 my stepson, Jillian Aug. 18, 1986 so they were 6 weeks apart when we got married. Jackie Oct. 27, 1987, Joshua Jan. 14 1989, and April April 6, 1991. They were all teenagers at the same time...but here I am...I lived to tell about it and you will too. But I know having 6 kids you get exercise. On the Fitness tracker you can even track...doing laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cleaning, etc... You will find your way around. I have found that (for me) if I keep it simple and don't try to get involved in too many areas at once I am better off and more consistant. Like, I have two teams that I check on everyday and have an e-mail sent to me if someone posts to them. I have friends that I check in with everyday. If they have been on I respond if they have not been on and responded to my previous post I may or may not add a comment it depends. I try to blog from my sparkpage when I have something other than the same old same old to say. And I track my Nutrition everyday and I track fitness when I do specific fitness stuff like taking a walk.

Also, when you login don't forget to get your login spark points. There is a link to click on, on the right side when you first get online and login. Click on it and spin the wheel everyday to get extra points. Once there you can scroll down to see a list of other ways to get points. That is a good way to learn how to check out other features of the website. Well I hope this has been helpful. Thanks for the encouraging words in your e-mail. God Bless

It is great to meet you. It is taking me a little time to figure out how to use all of the tools on this site. I used to do weight watchers, but I needed something new. I would love to be buddies as I need LOTS of support to keep myself going. I have six kids and this is a good escape for me instead of using food. I am tired of being big and unhealthy, so I am determined to get this weight off. I don't mind 1 to 2 lbs a week. I am struggling this weekend with a family reunion, lots of food and drink. I stayed back with the baby today while my husband took the other kids. I had a healthy breakfast and will join them later. I have no problem getting in my exercise, but I am terrible with portions! I eat healthy food, just too much of it. I have a hard time losing weight. I am trying to eat between 1,200 and 1,500 calories a day. So far, so good. A few slip ups, but nothing horrible.

Welcome to Sparkpeople July0405. I see you are new. I am glad to make your acquaintance. You and I are at the same weight almost and have almost the same goals. We would make good buddies. Unless you have another support person or buddy, I would love to walk through this journey with you. Remember it is one day at a time or one meal at a time or I have even had to go one hour at a time. I hope you make your goals and learn to utilize every part of the website and the people on here to the best of your abilities.
