There's always talk about being healthier, but we going to do it and track it. Perfection is a process over time not a moment in time.

So now that I've gone thru a couple of ups and downs, I'm back to 230lbs. again. Not a big deal, but when I ran (or gave my best shot running) the California International Marathon, I came to a realization; I am a good runner, but no matter how good... if I don't have the right nutrition my body will Just NOT Do It. Also, when I'm doing major taxing event like a marathon, and get classified as a Clydesdale (you should know that's the BIG guys) it's gonna be an uphill battle.

HUMILITY; the ability to learn and be taught from others, including my own failures. Not finishing the CIM was a big deal to me.

CONCLUSION: I'm determined to loose my excess weight and train for success. 185 here I come to stay and be healthy!

My Goals:
Back in 2008 I found myself preparing for a marathon, thinking I could do it fine with just running more and more, I was wrong I needed to think and be different to run a marathon. I was 226#'s when I set the goal, 207#'s when I attempted it and even averaged 7-8 miles per day with a peak of 14 miles in 1.75hrs. How did I do? I cramped up at mile 14.5 unable to complete the race.

What I learned was that nutrition and health can really change you abilities. First, my morning raisins were contributing 90% of my daily potassium intake vital to keep my muscles firing normal. Second my mind set was that of I can do it in 4 hrs, but I really didn't listen to my body's nutritional signs and react appropriately. I was low on potassium, drank too much caffeine and didn't replenish my body as I ran to fend off the cramping.

My New GOAL is an average weight of 185 and between 12% and 17%. body fat. Previously I was at a ~36% and now I'm in the 20's, so I

As of May 1st 2010 I'm back; tracking nutrition, fitness and bloging my experience.! I'm on the HCG protocol for apx. ~40 days and will be tapering off at the 40# mark transitioning back to my full workouts and training for the 2010 California International Marathon come the last week of June.
