I'm going to try something new for me. I don't have a wedding to plan this time (just a husband that says I'm perfect the way I am), and I'm not worried about what vacation will be like (yet), but I'm thinking about my health. I'm 26 years old, and if I'm so unhealthy today, what will I be like at 30. I want to be healthy. My goal is to lose the 81.4 lbs. that I should lose to be healthy by my second wedding anniversary. This would be 10/18/2010.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with bulged discs in my lower back. The doctors could not give me a specific reason that I have these bulged discs, but losing weight will help they say, and to me this says, "your obesity caused these bulging discs." I'm in pain a lot of days (though i really don't tell people this, and they ask why I limp, and i pretend that I don't realize that I'm limping, and say that it must be because I'm tired).

My mom is going to be my partner in losing weight this year. I'm going to tell her about this site, and hope that she will join. What is there to lose, it's free! and it's not like I gotta give away my identity to make it happen.

I'm looking forward to this year, and I know that I can make it to my goal. Today is day one.

My Goals:
I would like to make it to 145 lbs. by October 18, 2010, my second wedding anniversary. I will run a 5K before the end of the year. My first mini goal was is to be under 200 lbs. and I would like to reach this goal by March 1st. My second mini goal is to be under 185 lbs. (this would be out of the obesity range). And I would like to get to this goal by May 1st, 2010. My third mini goal is to be at 165lbs. by August 1st. and then finally 145 lbs. by October 18th.

I just joined the C25K program, and I'm walking in between days.

    Yikes! My weekly check in has turned to a monthly one....I was here a month ago to the day! Hope you are still keeping encouraged!!

    I've let the exercise slip the last two weeks...one week due to sickness and the next due to being crazy-busy. I'm back on track now though...and am aiming to see some more progress...

    Way to go in running farther than you had planned! Isn't it a great feeling?! I biked 27 miles today hauling my dd in a bike trailer....I'm feeling wonderfully tired tonight. To further celebrate, I'm going to go to bed early and enjoy a LONG night of sleep! We ARE doing this!!! Love your ticker inching to the right!!!! WAY TO GO!!!

    Thanks for the nice comment about my C25k. I did W7D1 today and had a harder time with it, even though it was the same interval as W6D3. Go figure! I think it was all in my head :) Hope you're able to get out there and run. Can't wait to hear about it!
