I'll be honest. I'm somewhat of a shallow person. Yeah, I need to lose weight because of my health. But, dang it, I want to look good.

I have been successful at getting weight off in the past. My pictures are of me at my largest (white shirt), after I lost down to under 200 pounds in 1997 (brown checked shirt). I'm a big guy but have been fortunate to work at keeping it tucked a bit.

This site has been so much fun. I'm glad my friends Kristina and Nicole told me about it.

Fitness Minutes: 238,970

My Goals:
OK, my textbook weight is around 185 pounds. I was in middle school the last time the scales stopped spinning in that neighborhood. I would like to see if I could get back down there again in a healthy fashion. I want to be in a healthy BMI. I want to have energy and feel great. I want to overcome this hold food has on me. I will conquer!

My Program:
Well, if anything, my program has been lacking. I had an initial run and lost a total of 44 pounds over the first five months I joined. I have let a bit of my weight creep back on. I'm ready to do something about it. I know I need to quit eating out so much and get back in the gym more.

The basic foundation to losing weight is to burn more calories than you eat. It's a very simple process that is so very hard to do or is very difficult for me.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge.     Hey Jeremy,

    Why did you change your Sparkname? You still show up under your old name on my page, but I have disappeared now from your "new" page. Why can't SparkPeople just transition things together when someone changes their Sparkname?
