My goal is to get and hold onto that feeling of WELL-BEING as much as possible...

That doesn't mean reaching my goal weight -- though that would certainly achieve this goal... Rather it means very quickly losing 10 lbs so that I can get comfortable in my own skin. It also means feeling in control of my eating and confident that I am and will continue to make good decision -- that will keep me heading in the right direction.

My Goals:
- I will track my food every day and also aim to stay on the low end of carbs. Tracking needs to be a priority of my everyday life because it is fundamental to being and feeling in control of my food.
- I will conduct regular self-evaluation to identify obstacles and immediately develop targeted strategies to overcome those obstacles. This includes recognizing trigger foods and foods with which I have difficulty controlling portions.
- I will continue to blog regularly - to help me understand and manage problems, to express gratitudes and to articulate insights about my healthy lifestyle journey.
- I am adjusting to upcoming changes in my work and home life.

Other goals: Get fit and active, and to do it injury-free!

My Program:
I track what I eat and aim to stay within the guidelines for calories, carbs, protein and fats . I drink water constantly -usually exceeding 8 glasses of water.
I exercise every day. I am participating in Challenges.

    My dh had a mild stroke yesterday and today we found out it was brought on by low blood sugars, never knew low blood sugars could cause strokes. Geez first it is too high than too low, he has no damage though so that is good and I feel much better as he had another one a week ago and I thought it was due to his heart or damaged veins but it is low blood sugars and for some reason that comforts me as we can work on monitoring his blood sugar and keeping them up but not too high, what a balancing act! I was emotional about it for days until I learned why at his drs. but before that I wondered each moment if he was going to live. However, the dr. warned me low blood sugars are very dangerous and he is concerned.

    Hope your event went well and you are resting with a smile on your face. As for me, 1 lb down two days in a row now so I am celebrating even with some stressful stuff that is going on. emoticon

    I wore an estrogen patch for 2 + years to get through those hot flashes, I was miserable before them, hot flashes, couldn't sleep etc. so the dr gave me a patch. You are only suppose to wear it for 2 years but with my mother dying and my sister going through cancer treatment they kept me on it for about a year longer. Good luck, the natural remedies never worked for me and I tried them all. Cool hugs from Calif. emoticon
