Levi (11) and Exandria (9) and my husband Jeremy are the most important people in my life. I can't imagine life without them. I am currently on a weight loss journey to better my life. I started at 279.4 pounds. SP is a superhero in disguise! I have many reasons for starting my weight loss journey. My main reasons are to be healthier for myself and my family.. and to gain back my self confidence. I feel like my weight has held me back from a lot in my life.. and I'm not willing to let it hold me back anymore. I am taking back MY life! I sometimes struggle with the fact that weight loss isn't an "instant" fix. I have always strived for the instant results.. which I believe has been the reason I never succeeded in the past. While I am reaching for the 2 pounds a week goal.. I do not expect it. I will take what I get whether it's 2 pounds or .2 pounds. Either way.. I am making progress toward my overall goal.. and any loss is better than a gain. I try not to get down when there is no movement at all or I have a gain. I've come to the conclusion that it is life.. and I will have many bumps and obstacles in my weight loss journey. That is what will make achieving the overall goal taste that much sweeter! *Pun intended!* I am more than willing to make new weight loss support buddies so feel free to add me to your list of friends!

My Goals:
To lose weight and become a healthier me. My overall goal is to hit around 130 pounds.. but the number is not important. I will maintain once I feel healthy. I want to take control of my life instead of letting food take over. "Eat to live instead of live to eat" as they say. I love my kids so much and know I need to lose weight in order to set a good example and be there for them.

My Program:
I am currently on the 'eating healthier foods and exercising' program. Haha. In the past I tried homeopathic hcg and about every "magic" pill out there. One day something in my head just clicked and said there is no miracle pill so this is where Spark People comes into play. I don't think I could do it without SP. The only real way to lose weight.. good old diet and exercise. Who'd have known? :)

Personal Information:
I currently live in a small town in South Dakota. I'm located in the 'TriState Area' as they call it. I have 2 kids, Levi who is 7 and Exandria who is 5, and have been married to my husband since 2007.

Other Information:
"One Step At A Time" is my outlook on weight loss. I didn't gain it all overnight.. and I know I will not lose it all overnight.

"Dear Weight, You are going DOWN. This is one battle I refuse to lose."
