My name is Jessica and...surprise!!!!!, I'm here to lose weight! Along with everybody else. In having struggled with my weight all my life, it is without any regret to announce that the only thing that has worked for me is Mikilas Bootcamp at the Sports Plex in Eugene Oregon. During the first 1.5 years of doing this program, I lost 70 lbs of fat. I gained more muscle than I could have ever imagined along with confidence and motivation to be in the shape I wish to be in. In being overweight, there are physical attributes that hinder us in our daily activities. For me, it was constant headaches, fatigue, lack of motivation to do anything, and depression which led to further weight gain as I ate my problems away. At 240 lbs, the heaviest I have ever weighted in my life, it’s safe to say that I was miserable. I would look at pictures that family members had taken and was disgusted with what I saw. THAT is when I decided to do something about it. First I started hiking and going to the gym to do cardio and such. Then after losing 20 lbs or so, I stopped losing. I was doing an hour at the gym of power classes and random cardio without any further results. I took the scenic rout in trying everything I could to lose all this weight…but to no avail. In March of 2010, I was introduced to Mikilas Bootcamp, and THIS is where I was actually able to meet some of my goals. This program physically pushes you to the extreme, quickly building muscle and endurance, while losing fat and inches. How can this not be a win-win situation? Upon signing up, one is offered 12 class options each day as there are no excuses in missing out, along with weekend running events (usually uphill sprints, 5K, or 10K runs). Accountability is crucial in this weight loss mission and that is why Chris offers bi-weekly weigh-ins and measurements to document and track overall inches and weight lost. And to top it off, there are custom made meal plans for those that wish to take advantage of them. These plans are made to give one optimal performance before and during work outs, which is key in building utmost endurance. I never thought I would ever be a runner and ironically enough, it turns out I totally love it. The achievement of running a 10K for the first time made me feel so accomplished and surprised that I could run over 6 miles!!! The people that attend Mikilas Bootcamp are wonderful and not your typical “gym bunnies”. There are men and women of all shapes and sizes, all colors and creeds, and of all ages. The comradery is amazing and it helps in pushing each and every one of us to try our hardest to push ourselves as far as we can handle.

Born in Sea-town but have lived in Springfield, Or. for the last 15 years. In my lifetime I have traveled through 16 states....and of all the places to end up...HERE I AM!!! I am a music junkie....My all-time fav. band in Alice and Chains. I feel without music to express myself, I would die for sure...I am a mother(and step-mother) of three kido's...who keep me on my toes (and in therapy), but they are also the light of my life..I couldn't imagine life without them. I am very family oriented but haven’t always been that way...had to learn along the way. I have few real friends...they are few and far between for sure. In my lifetime, I’ve learned to be myself …..not to let anyone else think I need to live up to there standards… I live for myself and my family. Though it’s not easy in anyway…I wouldn’t change a thing. I am the sole provider for my family. My “Spouse equivalent” is disabled with epilepsy and is unable to provide as a man should. I don’t mind being the money maker!!

Other Information:
Love horror flicks, CSI , NCIS, Rescue Me, and ER. Dexter, Chuck, Psych, Burn Notice, Medium, anything with anticipation!
