Hi! I'm 46 years old, married to a wonderfully supportive man and we have a 10 year old son. I've struggled with weight my entire life and now I have complications that make it even more of a struggle.

I'm suffering from degenerative disc disease, arthritis, 6 herniated discs in my back and neck, osteoarthritis in my right knee and right hip. I need total hip replacement and total knee replacement, but I have to lose weight first!

Everyone says I'm too young to be having all these problems and I sure want to be able to enjoy my family more. So this is it! It's time to be a little selfish and focus on me for a while.

The easy part will be learning how to eat better. But it's very painful for me to exercise. I'm counting on support from you guys and the Lord.

I reached my first goal and beat it by 3 pounds!!!! And earlier than I had anticipated. My next goal is to lose 15 more pounds by reach my pre-pregnancy weight.

My Goals:
I have so much weight to lose I'm breaking it into smaller segments.

1st Goal: Lose 30 pounds by Christmas Joy (12/6).

2nd Goal: Pre-pregnancy weight (another 18 pounds).

3rd Goal: 15 pounds

4th Goal: Another 15 pounds and pre-marriage weight.

Final Goal: Another 15 pounds and finally at the right weight for my height.

My Program:
I'm following the nutrition plan and trying to get to a pool every day for at least 45 minutes of the only exercise I'm currently able to do...water aerobics. Plus I'm drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day.

Personal Information:
I live in Long Beach, CA and enjoy reading, scrapbooking and spending time with my family. I really don't enjoy cooking which makes dieting a challenge.

7/31/08 Made the decision to lose weight.
8/19/08 Joined SparkPeople.
10/2/08 Down 25 pounds!!
10/15/08 Made my 1st goal! Down 33 pounds!!
12/3/08 "Starting Over" after being too busy the last 3 weeks.
