I am happily married to a wonderful man, for almost 29 years. I have been a stay-at-home-mom since 1984. My two daughters are now college graduates, married and doing very well in their adult life. They each provided me with a beautiful grandson this year, and I am in 7th heaven at being a Grandma!! We also gained two more girls (7 & 9) when my great-nieces moved in with us Fall of '10. I received my BSW (bachelor of social work) in 2008 and am in school working towards my Masters. I really want to get my weight down before I finish school and have to start work full time. I have many exercise options, so I have no excuses, but it is too easy for me to put 'me' aside to help others. I appreciate being able to access Sparkpeople 24/7. I usually read new posts late in the evening. I have noticed I no longer snack late in the evening - think there is any connection??!!! I lost a significant amount of weight about 18 years ago, and even though I have gained it back, I am encouraged to know I can lose weight. I have a small room dedicated to my exercise equipment, and on the wall I have two skirts and a pair of jeans (size 8) that I wore back then. My goal is to fit in them again! I have moved from a 24/26 down to a 14, so heading in the right direction!!!

My Goals:
1) to reach my goal weight by May 2012 (graduation!)

2) to achieve my scuba diving certification -ACHIEVED!!!

3) to finish cleaning out all the boxes left from our move (12 years ago!)

My Program:
I always get so busy that I never have time to exercise during Nov/Dec, so from 11/1/08 until present, I have concentrated on just maintaining my weight loss.

I am now ready to get back to business. I have WII, WII FIT, DDR2, Outdoor Challenge, My Fitness Coach and many pieces of indoor exercise equipment. Plus, as long as I am a student, I have free access to the (new) student health club on campus with all the amenities one could desire.

I hate having to track my calories every day, but need to figure out how to best manage my caloric intake.
