For me, very few things ever go according to plan. In my life I am currently at the tail end of a very "constructive" four year period. Going into University I thought I knew exactly what I wanted from life and I had planned out the whole thing, ever last minute of it. Neurotic, I know. And like the doomed Greek heroes of old, the Gods decided to intervene; to prove that it is not I who control destiny. (Yes, I am dramatic, but it is more interesting to read this way don't you think?) Anyway, after a four year battle with mental illness, failing/dropping out of school, re-deciding what I want to do with my life numerous more times, not to mention plenty of time for self contemplation and soul searching, I re-emerge tired and 120lbs over healthy body weight. So, like the Greek heroes of old, I believe I have reached the turning point in my journey. The point where the battered and weary hero must gather his strength, and with the help of his faithful companions, raise up to prove the gods wrong; moving forward to victory. So here I am, just one of various changes I am hoping to make in order to orchestrate my new battle plan: to move forward. Rather than attempt to plan out my life bit by bit, I will instead plan only to move forward, only as far as I can see. The rest, has yet to come.

I feel too young to have learned this lesson but I have learned that you cannot buy back time, and therefore must focus on making the most out of the time you have left and not mourning the time that was lost.
