    Hi Robyn,

It was exciting reading your Spark Page. I started a more balanced lifestyle when I reached 170 pounds and my goal weight was 128, but I found I feel and look best at 134 so i try to stay there. I see your goals are similar to what mine were FIVE YEARS AGO! Yes, I lost my weight in 6 months and have maintained it.

I chuckled when I read your blogs. I am no athlete, but I have improved so I can relate to your blog messages. For example, I could do 2 sit-ups when I began to exercise. Now I do 130 as just a fraction of my back and abs routine. I am unfamiliar with P90X but it sounds gruelling. My toughest routine is Stacey Lei Krauss' "willPower and grace" DVD. I have never been able to do the whole thing and I've had the DVD 2 years. I've had an inflamed sciatic nerve running down my left hip to behind my knee for the past 8 weeks so I've really had to scale down lately. I just got back from hiking up a steep hill in my city and lifting arm weights, but I am unable to bend in the center so my abs and legs are suffering greatly (from neglect).

I see you are on PA Slimdown Team and Dog Lovers Team like I am. I LOVE both teams and check in with them regularly. I hope to see your posts from time to time as we peruse the sites together. Thanks for being my friend. One question...what happened between the time you joined and the more recent P90X posts?

    "Talk" to you again,
    Dawn

Thanks for the encouragement! I have cut many things out of my diet, such as pop, most white refined foods, lots of sweets (like candy and other junk food). I work really hard on portion control. I go to the gym almost every day and do 30 mins on the treadmill and 30 mins strength training. I got diagnosed with diabetes at the beginning of September and that is what really kicked my in the butt. It was diet and exercise or insulin. I didn't like how I looked or felt so I did the diet and exercise and here I am!
