I've set Jan. 1, 2009, as DAY1 for me. I'm fired up and ready to go.
This is my second start. I started in November the first time. Since that time I've changed some of my habits for the better. I haven't been consistent enough with exercise or meal planning. But, I am working harder towards that.
I'm going through some serious emotional changes right now, but I certainly see a light at the end of the tunnel. I just have to have the strength to get through the tunnel.

Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it, and virtue is doing it.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

Fitness Minutes: 300

My Goals:
1. Exercise consistently, at least 5 days per week. Add treadmill.
2. Portion control at every meal. Measure!
3. Drink 8- 8oz glasses of water daily.
4. Begin Meatless Mondays 12/15. Work towards meat no more than once a day everyday.

My Program:
Attending exercise class at the YMCA 3 to 4 days per week. Use my new treadmill at least 5x per week.

Personal Information:
I'm taking time off to dedicate myself to improving my health. I'm a retired special education administrator. I started as a teacher, spent most of my years as a Special Ed Administrator and returned to teaching part-time after retirement, until the weight and arthur got the better of me.
I've lived in the NYC area most of my life. I've also lived in Phila. when I was young & wild. (Best years of my life- until now) :-)

    Thank you for the cup of tea goodie. I love green tea.I have been reading for the last two days.It takes my mind off my worrys.I'm trying to be good on my Stress eating. I'm doing so-so.I think I'm out of junk food ,Finally!! Now I can eat fruit and Almonds.At least they are better for me.
    Today the sun came out.So I'm happy with the out doors.

    Hi! April 1st is coming way to fast. Due to the stress(fear) I have been pigging out on junk food.Now I have to lose the 5 Lbs I gained in the last two weeks. I have been seeing doctors all week. for bloodwork etc..Because of the stress I have o take blood pressure Meds and an enhaler prior to surgery.
    I'm going to take it easy this weekend and enjoy the sunshine,spring flowers and the baby animals I see everywhere I go.
