Hi, My name is Jeff, My age ? Ask my wife I don't keep track, life is too short to be worried about numbers in my mind they are meaningless. As soon as you start keeping track you start getting old and eventually give up sit down, waste away waiting to die. Aging happens to all of us, the human body can't go on forever in it's current condition. 20 years from now I probably won't be able to workout quite as hard as I do now, but I refuse to give up and be pushing a walker. I plan to come sliding in on that day God calls me home screaming "All glory be to the Lord ! What a ride !"

A little over a year ago I had my right rotator cuff surgically repaired. It's healed but I'm amazed at the upper body strength I lost. So about 3 month's ago I restarted a strangth routine for my shoulder and eventually brought some cardio in the form of aerobics in. Now I am to the ppoint of doing some regular strength training with light weights. I can even do some pushups.

I'm getting close to my target weight but it always seems like the last few pounds are the hardest to shed. But I'm working at it. I run 3 days a week and have two strength circuit training routines I do twice a week. I take two days off as rest days to allow your muscles to recover and rebuild are extremely important.

My Goals:
50 pushups in 1 minute

1 hour of intense spinning on the stationary bike

Complete P90X

My Program:
Power 90 5-6 strength circuit training 3x a week.

Spinning on stationary bike once a week

40 min of Intense Cardio Elliptical machine intervals every other week

Power 90 cardio workout opposite week of elliptical

Half hour of Yoga Saturdays

Personal Information:
Minnesota is where I call home. I enjoy fishing, a little Geocaching, running and spending time with our 8 gransdkids. I'm also a died in the wool Twins and Vikings fan.

I hate the winters here even though I was born and raised here. But it's home so I endure them for now.

    Thanks for stopping by, Jeff. Good to hear from you again.

    I never put much stock in meal planning before, but after doing it for the past week it really does seem to be helping. I know ahead of time what I am having and what portion size to expect. It hasn't shown up as progress on the scale, but I attribute that more to the minimal exercise I've been doing this past week or so.

    I usually do my walk in the morning...around 5AM. I'm out there everyday for at least 30 minutes. I'd like to do more, but timing is everything. Still need to get ready for work and pack up my lunch and stuff.

    I, too, find it a challenge to cook for 1. I tend to want to say "chuck it" and just pull something out of the freezer. Not the best plan. So getting back to meal planning and sticking with it will be a plus.
