Completed the Snow More Excuses - Biggest Loser Challenge with a total loss of 20.3 pounds over the course of 10 weeks. Yay!
Time for Round Two: Swing into Spring - Biggest Loser Challenge!
Everyone... On your Mark... Get Set... Ready... Go!!!
You got this!
It is now the first week of Spring (3/21/19) --- and the weather is reflecting it! YAY! I have since hit my below 200 goal yesterday and I have lost a total of 74.7 pounds since I joined Spark People September 12, 2018. My Next Goal is to be down 100 pounds total (172.8) by June 30th, 2019 --- Only 25.3lbs to go to hit the goal. I know I got this! :)
I'm a 45 year old grandmother of the most wonderful little guy: Adam. I'm a Breast Cancer Survivor (I've been in remission for 1 year, 6 months and 6 days.) and on my 1 year anniversary of remission I realized that if I kept going the way I was, I wasn't going to be here for Adam. Adam is my why. He is the reason I battle my demons and the reason I started on the path of surgery after surgery in the past 2 years. He has no one else, and if I allow Cancer to Defeat me and take me, then what kind of life would he have? What example had I set and what kind of role model would I be for him? Not a very good one on all counts.

So, at 45 I'm actively attempting to conquer my medical issues; from my Cervical & Lumbar spine to my ability to handle objects. As it stands now Depression and Pain (and they're a cause and effect type of situation --- the Depression is because of the pain) are my two largest hurdles to over come. And I WILL over come them. I don't have a choice not to.

Anxiety is a close third and that all comes back to self image and pain. I was fine heavy --- I had all of my parts... but with a BC battle you tend to lose parts of yourself --- not just mentally but physically as well. So, in order to get to where I want to be -- and be 'whole' again... I have to lose the weight. My Surgeon recommends 141 -- but I'm sure there's a bit of leeway there. 141 is NOT my goal -- my goal is to be back at my pre-pregnancy size. 102lbs and a size 0-2 depending on the cut of the pant. Then, and only then will I get the reconstruction done. As a happy side effect of reconstruction they take a flap of skin to re-form the breast from your abdomen --- so the side effect is a tight, flat belly again. So another 96.1 lbs to go until *I* reach *my* goal --- not my surgeons!.

I have a fit-bit so if anyone wants to challenge me to an adventure race or just a challenge.. it's on!

My Program:
I don't have a program. I have will power and a why that is the most awesome motivator: Adam

My steps:
Track EVERYTHING including Liquids
Exercise as often as pain allows
Look at my grandson and know at the end of the day HE is my TRUE motivation.

Personal Information:
I'm 45. I am the youngest of 6 children; however, for some reason when someone in the family (including my parents) has an issue they always come to me for advice or help solving it.

I have 2 children; my son who is 26 just got me a Fit Bit Ionic for my Christmas and Birthday present. My daughter is 25. They both live in Colorado. My parents are still living and they also live in Colorado.

I live with my partner (not actually tying the knot for the 3rd time - I don't need the hassle and financial strain if it doesn't work out) of 9 years and my grandson in the Palouse Valley in Washington State.

I have full custody of my 6 year old grandson who has Autism ii : Non-Verbal . He is in the middle of the spectrum so there are quite a few days that can be quite challenging. Even so, I would not trade them for anything.

We have 2 dogs and a cat. The cat is my grandson's we call her "Fat Cat".
