Hi, I'm Jacki. I recently moved to Chicago and I am bouncing back after a very hard year.
I've gained a lot of weight but I have a good plan for losing it.
My current plan is
-Track my steps/fitness with my UP band
-Use the Y 4-5 times per week until running season
-Track my food
-Cut out junk food
-Blog 3x per week

I'm striving to lose 52 pounds this year. Wish me luck!

My Goals:
I would like to get healthy!! My first goal is to get back under 200 pounds! Again!

From there my next goal is 180, which is my "happy weight" but after 200 I'm mainly focused on my fitness level.

My Program:
I want to take advantage of the awesome gym we just joined by taking classes and using new cardio equipment.

I am also re-training to run 2-3 days a week.

I'm a professional cook. This is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to weight loss!

I'm also really into traveling, my partner and I travel at least once a month. This is also a challenge when trying to watch what goes into your mouth!

I love to read especially now that I can bring an Ipad to the gym and read books on it! Currently reading lots of Neil Gaiman.

Fave food: Macaroni and Cheese, Pizza...well basically anything with lots of carbs and cheese. Sigh.

Fave drinks (besides water): Organic green tea from Noahs, homemade mochas, red wine

Fave place: Cinque Terre, Italy

Fave animals: Raccoon, Elephants, Otters

Fave movies: Harry Potter and comedies

Fave TV shows: The Mindy Project, Girls, 30 Rock

Fave color: Green, Dark blue

    Thank you for your comments and support on the last blog I posted. I am in counseling now and working toward better things. But those moments knock me on my rear pretty fast.

    Three days a week is good when starting out. About a half hour two days a week and your "longer" run the third day.

    I just came off of marathon training, so my new plan will be a little bit different, since I need to work on my speed to actually re-start marathon training in the spring for next week.
