Mediterranean Diet - Whole food, lots of plants, GF, modified carb cycling, minimal processed food and sugar while staying within my calorie and nutrient ranges. MEASURE PORTIONS!!! TRACK!!!

    Thanks for the cocoa! Yes we are below freezing in Texas and expecting snow in Austin! This is our coldest in 20 years.
    I know we have not had it as bad as the rest of the country, but we are freaking out here!

    Hello, Bootcamp Buddy!

    Today is most definitely DAY 16. Go us!

    I got your SparkMail and was in the process of replying to it when my toilet decided to practically explode and flood my apartment. Last night was NOT fun! I didn’t even get to exercise!

    I’ve taken the day off work, though, to get caught up on everything and clean and then, finally, RELAX!

    And hey, I’ve been trying the kickboxing video for a little over two weeks now and I have to say that I’m only recently figuring out how to do her “roundhouse kicks.” She’s brutal! But it’s a lot of fun, in my opinion, so the effort needed to keep trying is totally worth it.

    I’ll do a cardio video and my lower body training (my knee is feeling a bit better, so I’ll take it easy) before I go swimming today. I haven’t been in a week! Boo!

    My being twenty-one probably DOES have some sway when it comes to my body’s ability to recuperate after these videos, but I wouldn’t put too much stock into that theory! I am so sore today after doing the upper body workouts last night. The muscles that connect my chest and my armpit are on fire and the muscles along the middle of my back are crying out for attention. I’ve taken a Tylenol to try and offset the feeling of sloth that’s come over me.

    If you have to squeeze in videos this weekend, I would say forget about the strength training videos and focus on the cardio! The 10 MINUTE CARDIO KICKBOXING VIDEO is my personal favourite – it gets your heart pumping and you’ll be SWEATING once you’re finish. Concentrate on keeping your abdominals tight, too, and by the time you’re finished you’ll feel as though you just spent your time doing crunches… BONUS!

    Today is DAY 11 for the both of us, right? That means CORE WORKOUTS! Woo hoo! I am going to do the 10 MINUTE CARDIO KICKBOXING VIDEO twice to warm up and then I am going to do the DAY 4 video (CORE) followed by the 10 MINUTE CRUNCHLESS CORE WORKOUT video.

    I’ve been pigging out on junk all day and it’s starting to make me feel down. I haven’t been able to convince myself to pick up food from the grocery store this week so I am at the mercy of the fast food joints around the office. Egads! Add to that the mountain of candy in our break room? It’s so not fair…

    Hopefully you have a fantasy DAY 11! I look forward to hearing all about it the next time we speak!

    I try to do two or three videos a day if I can! They say that WEEK 2 is supposed to have us doing an extra video a few times a week, so I figure if I do a few extra videos every day I’ll be laughing by the start of WEEK 3. But then again, I’m a glutton for pain...

    If you’d love to have a BOOTCAMP BUDDY and I would love to have a BOOTCAMP BUDDY, I guess that means we’re going to be BOOTCAMP BUDDIES! Yay! Go us!

    I actually started early in January but last week was really tough on me (I broke up with my boyfriend and didn’t feel like doing ANYTHING) so I held myself back a week. I guess it worked out because now we both have someone to keep us on track!

    You should try doing the 10 MINUTE CRUNCHLESS CORE WORKOUT or the 6 MINUTE BUTT BLASTER WORKOUT. Both of them are absolutely insane but they’ll make you feel FABULOUS once you’re finished.
