Hi! I'm an overweight wife/mommy, and I want to get healthy for myself and my family, but MAINLY for God. I want to take care of the body that I've been given, so that I can be the best me I can be! After all, He lives in this temple of mine, and I am not my own. I was bought at a price and should honor God with my body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) If my focus is on God (and I have enlist Him and His help) I do very well. As long as He remains my coach, motivator, and discipliner, I see positive results. But, the moment I forget that, I backslide. If you want to succeed long term, you just gotta have JESUS - for weight loss, for EVERYTHING!!!! I need him more than ever if I'm going to get rid of all this weight that I have put on once and for all! I took "The Lord's Table" course a few years ago and it was the biggest help in addressing the spiritual/heart of the issue. My Program:
I don't have a set program at the moment. I've had some back issues and am mainly sticking to walking for now. I do like to take pictures of the morning sunrise while I'm strolling by the lake (see "other information" area for my social media links to connect and see pictures!).

    Well it is the end of another week. Enjoy the weekend and relax a bit! I know that this time of year people have some spouts of seasonal depression, and it makes us want to eat things that make us happy, most of those foods are not healthy. Stay on track with your goal and know we are not alone in this, many struggle with depression eating. And with Holidays it is hard to turn away from all the good foods being prepared as tradition. But with will power and faith we can do it. Think small portions, And if you must have the sweet taste that is full of unhealthy calories, taste is the key word. Keep strong, keep on pressing to your goal! emoticon

    Well the weekend is here. Let us not forget that we need the rest from a stressful week. But do not loose focus of our goals. Keep on eating healthy and drinking the water.     Hey, Sis! This heat makes it hard to be motivated to work out, even in the morning. I was standing - just STANDING, mind you - in my kitchen making a salad and I had sweat pouring down. Drenched!
