March 28, 2008 - This is the start date of my second attempt at SparkPeople. I had started on the site in May of 07, but it didn't last very long (2 months). I am happy to say in close to a year's time, I didn't gain any weight from my last weigh-in; but I am determined to get this weight off!

I'm amazed at how being overweight limits a person - emotionally AND physically. I want those limits GONE GONE GONE!

My Goals:
-To lose 100 lbs

-To run a 5K by spring 2009

-To run a 10K by fall 2009

-To complete a 2-3 day backpacking/hiking trip in the Presidentials

My Program:
NUTRITION - For the first 8-9 weeks I am using EDiets meal delivery program. Then, I'll work on finding convenient healthful foods to incorporate into my daily routing.

EXERCISE-Following the C25K program between hiking excursions and time on my elliptical machine.

Personal Information:
I am 33 years old, never married, no children and live in the Woodsville, NH area on the border of NH and VT

    Hey! Yes, I'm still on here...kind of a lot actually. Some of the people I train with at my gym started a team and we're pretty active on it. I train with a phenomenal trainer on Saturdays (along with a few other people) and that helps keep me motivated for the week :) I actually got down to 171 before Thanksgiving...I only got on the scale because a friend was dying to know how much I weighed. I should have never done it...Ididn't work out for the 14 days after that (mostly because we were in NC for the holiday) and I gained 12 pounds back. My body is great about losing weight fast when I eat well and work out, but it's just as evil about gaining it back if I don't do those things :( Anywho, I've been back at the gym since Tues...but I haven't gotten my eating back in check yet.

    years ago a nutrionist told me it was nonsense to eat only breakfast food for breakfast, so I treat it like any other meal, but more often i have a protein shake in place of a full meal then at other times. good luck this week with all you have to do.
