Hi! I have decided I can no longer jeopardize the future of my children and have to get this weight off!!! Not to mention I'm tired of carrying around two people. I consider myself a high achiever! So why haven't I conquered this weight? Don't worry - I will.

I used to be so disciplined with taking my lunch to work, enjoying healthy snacks, and working out daily. All of that has gone by the wayside. I can't tell you how many times I have joined Weight Watchers and purchased other diet products and information.

But this is 2008, New Year, New Me! My pastor's first sermon of the year was Starting off the Year Right. It really made me think of the areas where I needed to do just that. Although I felt my weight was always an issue, I continued to ignore it. Not any more.

Just wait and see by faith the victorious outcome that is yet to be! I am a conqueror!

September 2008 - I'm back! I have my motivation. I went MIA due to finishing grad school, kids, new job. Just more excuses. I am more focused now than ever because I don't want to die of heart disease like my grandfathers, my father, & my uncle. Who is going to take care of my children? What example am I setting for them? The time is now to take control and defeat this monster that I have created.

Fitness Minutes: 2,021

My Goals:
1. Workout at least 3x per week

2. Learn to swim again - the Olympics motivated me!

3. Attend Water Aerobics

4. Take my lunch to work EVERYDAY or eat a healthy meal. Just because someone bakes it and brings it in or celebrates a birthday - resist!

5. Eat a healthy breakfast everyday.

6. Play softball again.

7. Take the stairs without sounding like I'm having an asthma attack

8. Write down everything I eat

9. Walk during my son's football practice.

10. Mini - goal: Lose 50 lbs by January 31, 2009.

A long range goal: I want to run a marathon.

My Program:
My first step is utilizing Spark People and getting the support I need to succeed.

Praying and asking God to allow me to be disciplined. There is no reason for this!

Purchase only healthy snacks.

Participate and finish challenges!

Eat balanced meals & snacks.

Portion Control!!!

I reside in AL with my three beautiful children.

I love to watch Law & Order and I have started making my own beaded jewelry.

Good things come to those who wait.

There will be days when it seems like our goal is sooo far away and that its almost impossible! Dont ever get discouraged!!! Use those feelings and thoughts as your inspiration and motivation to push on and continue on to your goal! You will get there, but not if you give up!
