I've been on Spark People a long time...since 2006 actually. Originally I had come a long way...over 40 pounds lost and counting. I was running 5+ days a week and eating better than I had in a long time. Then in 2009 came quite a few injuries that really derailed my progress and I had doctor's orders to NOT exercise.

No exercise quickly derailed into a small depression where I just didn't care what I ate. Running had been my life and I felt lost and didn't know how to deal with my problems. I also had been diagnosed with PCOS, which just compounded my weight struggle.

Luckily for me I hand't gained back all the weight I'd lost, so I wasn't starting from scratch. I'd found my amazing boyfriend who is my best friend and really supports me-and was the missing piece of the puzzle in helping me deal with stress and frustration.

After again flirting with the same 5 pounds throughout January and February of 2011, I came across the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson, and its completely changed my life. I've been losing weight effortlessly (literally-haven't stepped foot in a gym since I started) and best of all-it appears to be curing my PCOS! I'm not bloated anymore or hungry and cranky all the time. My skin is so pretty and my tummy is finally shrinking and falling in correct proportion to the rest of my body. This has never happened before no matter how much weight I lost.

My Goals:
Weight-wise I'd ideally like to get down to 165 pounds. As for fitness goals I'd like to be able to go hiking more often and not feel like my lungs are going to explode.

My Program:
I'm eating like a cave girl! Primal eating has been amazing for me!

Here is some stuff about me!

I'm not obsessed with any one thing, but I really like a lot of things. I don't have any sort of "defining moment" in my life (so far) but I've had a lot of cool lesser ones that've definitely helped make me who I am. I'm not famous or rich, but I've got wonderful friends and I get by just fine. So how do I tell someone about my regular, normal self? I guess it would help to know things I like (and some things I don't!)

I like Disneyland, but I don't like Space Mountain. I LOVE the Chargers, but I hate Norv Turner. I like swing dancing, but I'm not that great at it. I love photography, and am making a career at taking wedding photos. I'm happiest when I have a camera in my hand. I like reading, but I'm not a nerd. I am a news junkie though. I really like Spongebob. My favorite book is Catcher in the Rye.

    i know some of us might be saying 10 pounds? that is too much! cant do it! But i here to tell u i did it for 7 months straight, b4 i got sick with cancer and had dropped out for a yr and a half. if u stay within ur calories that are alotted and if u track everything that passes ur lips u can do it too. I was never one that stayed on a diet more than 3 weeks at a time, and then I'd get discouraged and dropped off. i lost 75 pounds just doing calorie counting and tracking to make sure i never went over. i barely exercised ...i am handicapped and i cant do exercises in the conventional way but i flapped my arms while sitting and leg raises. very minimal stuff. the idea was to keep moving and i did that. so i know with disipline, encouragement and motivation u can too.. so i invite u to come and join me on my 10 pound challenge!
