Wow, I hadn't realized popsicles were an option for preparing for colonoscopy's (since I'm one who has not yet had it done.)!! But what got me interested in popsicles was last summer when I was so nauseous after chemotherapy. I was doing chemo starting in July and the heat was getting to me... at one point, I moved in to my mom's house because the smells of the cat litter box and having two sweaty dogs was more than my system could handle. At some point the idea of popsicles seemed appealing after several weeks of not being interested in food. My mom got these really small popsicle molds from the thrift store, but they were like one ounce sized, intended for toddlers I think. This summer I just decided to skip that extra fuss and aggravation trying to keep those tiny pieces clean, and donated them back to the thrift store. So I've been shopping and checking prices all summer. I'm sure they will be cheaper later on this summer or fall as they try to get the summer stuff sold off but oh well, I was willing to take it on when it was on lightning deal! I have also made some color free popsicles using plain coconut water and smushed up bits of fruits like strawberries, peaches, melons, whatever I had or was in the mood for, and that seemed to work well. I'm like you.... didn't want to deal with artificial food coloring etc.
