Hi everyone. I am German girl currently living in the UK with my English husband and black lazy rescue cat Jenny.
I'm a freelance seamstress specialising in vintage inspired clothing that I either design myself or make from original patterns.
I am also a runner, walker, hiker and cyclist and enjoy being active outdoors.
I have given up diets an calorie counting and aim for healthy eating and giving my body what it needs plus the occasional treats. This works pretty well as my body rewards me with running faster and longer every week. I can't sit still anymore and therefore wont.

Fitness Minutes: 4,648

My Goals:
Running a half marathon race in October 2011. I have conquered the distance in a training session with my husband the other week and feel now ready to race. In fact, I can't wait.
Goal time is under 2 hours. Watch this space!!!!

My Program:
I run A LOT!!! I try to aim for at least 5 times a week varying my runs from sprint sessions to short runs to long and slow and anything in the middle. It seems to work. I do not follow a particular plan. I listen to my body and when it wants to run fast I make sure it does. Sometimes it just doesn't want to run at all, then I go and take it for ice cream. I deserve it, my body deserves it. I love my body!!! It does great things. I also do strength training 3-4 times a week for 15-20 min.
I have not joined a gym and don't think I ever will again. I spend a lot of money on gyms in the past and never went. My gym is the great outdoors, a fitness mat and some free weights.

married to a wonderful husband (who is very fit...due to his job... so I need to keep up with him)
loves vintage clothing, vintage lifestyle
is a seamstress, making vintage inspired clothes (just in case you are interested in that sort of thing)
loves cats, travelling, movies, hiking, cooking and entertaining, enjoys life

    Hahaha not a wife yet (not even engaged) but doing so well on my diet! I finally saw a number on the scale that I haven't seen since early high school (I think, I can't even remember back that far)! I honestly didn't think I would get below 150 but wanted to try anyways, and it paid off. 7 more pesky pounds to go before I go to Vegas. SP can be time-consuming - I try not to read too many things on here, just track my food and exercise or I find myself on it for hours. Not good when I have 8 to 10 hours of studying a day...I just checked out your blog, you are too cute in your vintage clothes. Hope you are working on the business plan and moving forward with your business!

    Hey, Bea! I hope you are well! Thanks for checking in with me. I have been taking a big step back from SP (hence the reason I have been so quiet on here the last week), because I have SOOOOO much on my plate right now, and I really need to focus! But that doesn't mean I am backing off my fitness and exercise! Yep, I am signed up now for the Osterlauf. That will be HM #5 for me, and the first one I have done in almost a year, so I am excited. I love the HM distance.

    Anyway, I am so excited for you and your first Half Marathon!! WOOOHOOO! When is it exactly? And where? I would SOOO come run it with you too, if I could. (Don't think I can, but if I could!!!) I totally understand how signing up for races gives you so much more purpose! I am the same way.
