Introduction Text I have struggled with my weight for many years even though I eat healthy and am fairly active. I recently read a quote from a book written by a psychologist that really resonated with me (one of those light bulb moments): You have to make the choice whether you are going to accept the weight you are now for the rest of your life, or begin making sacrifices and develop self-discipline in your life. I am choosing self-discipline!!

My goal with this website is to seriously track my caloric intake. I am often surprised when I see how many calories certain foods have. This site helps me keep my calories under my daily goal.

Six days of cardio: swimming, spinning, hiking, walking, elliptical, cycling. Daily Caloric intake: under 1400 Praying a lot.

I moved to Albuquerque, NM in February 2009 from Cary, North Carolina. I owned and operated my own swim lesson business in North Carolina, but am now writing children's books.

Besides our 9 year old daughter, I have a 30 year old son in North Carolina, and a 28 year old daughter in Kansas. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, reading really good books, theater, movies, and snuggling with my husband.
